The Northwest Flower & Garden Show returns to the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, in mid-February, 2015, and once again the Arboretum Foundation will kick off the show with its annual Opening Night Party & Auction. Guests will enjoy a fabulous evening of delicious food, wine bars, live entertainment, and alluring auctions, and the opportunity to view the beautiful display gardens at the Garden Show the day before it opens to the public—all while helping us raise important funds to support Washington Park Arboretum.
This year’s Garden Show (February 11 to 15) falls on the same week as St. Valentine’s Day, and the show theme will be “Romance Blossoms.” Our party will incorporate this theme—as will our annual garden display, which will be an interactive, love-themed homage to Azalea Way.
Mayoral mojo: The Honorable Ed Murray, Mayor of Seattle, and his husband Michael Shiosaki will be our honorary co-chairs for this year’s party. Ed and Michael are longtime friends of the Arboretum, and we are delighted to have their support.
A Resplendent Auction
Each year, our party features a lavish silent and live auction filled with all manner of treasures—such as travel packages, dining and theater experiences, exclusive garden tours, hiking adventures, and wine tastings. Our auction procurement team works hard throughout the year to secure many fabulous donations from generous businesses, institutions, and private individuals.
Supporting our volunteer program: This year, the “Fund-A-Need” portion of our live auction will raise money for our multi-faceted volunteer program. Foundation staff spend many hours each year recruiting, training, supervising, and working with the more 600 volunteers—supporting what they do for us. Come raise your paddle and help keep this vital program thriving!

Ticket Levels and Benefits
For this year’s party, we have simplified our ticket level options, reducing them from five down to three. We will be offering a limited number of Early-Bird tickets to Arboretum Foundation members, at $175 each. This offer will be available through January 10 or while the ticket supply lasts. The other two ticket levels are Patron and Benefactor. The prices for these remain the same as last year—$250 and $500, respectively.
All guests will enjoy a delicious buffet dinner and dessert, as well as complimentary parking for one car in the Convention Center garage. Patrons and Benefactors will receive additional benefits, including reserved table seating for dinner on the main garden floor. Benefactors will also receive two tickets to the Garden Show and a special gift.

Reserving a Table
Tables can be reserved for groups of 10 at the following prices: $5,000 (Benefactor); $2,500 (Patron); and Early-Bird ($1,750). The same benefits that apply to individual tickets apply to tables as well. For instance, if you purchase a Patron table, you receive 10 Patron-level tickets to the party, reserved table seating on the Garden Show floor, and complimentary parking for 10 cars in the Convention Center garage. Early-Bird tables are a great way for Early-Bird guests to guarantee reserved seating with their friends; however, we cannot guarantee that Early-Bird tables will be located on the Garden Show floor.
