The Arboretum Foundation’s beloved holiday sale and fundraiser returns in early December. The sale offers a wonderful selection of botanical holiday decorations, including:
- sustainably harvested wreaths, swags, and garlands
- unusual fresh-cut greens donated by the Arboretum staff and local gardeners
- beautiful, handmade floral wreaths created by our volunteers
Expanded gift selection: The event is also a showcase for the Arboretum Shop, which sells an excellent selection of gardening and nature books, plant-themed jewelry, tools for green thumbs, and more. For Gifts & Greens Galore, we expand our regular shop offerings to include holiday-themed gifts, such as seasonal food from local purveyors, and handcrafted gift cards.
DIY demonstrations & craft activities: Northwest lifestyle and entertaining expert Alexandra Hedin will give a craft demonstration on Saturday at noon. She’ll show shoppers how to make a seasonal wreath and fun door swag. Foundation volunteer craft specialists and educators from UW Botanic Gardens will also host show-and-tell activities during the event.
Free refreshments: Shoppers can enjoy complimentary holiday refreshments, including cookies, Zoka Arboretum Blend coffee, tea, and cider.
All sales benefit Washington Park Arboretum. For more information, call 206-325-4510.
