Planned Giving at Washington Park Arboretum
Our New Legacy Circle
Designating a bequest to the Foundation now qualifies you for membership in our new Arboretum Legacy Circle. Become a founding member of the Circle by letting us know that you have included the Arboretum Foundation in your estate plans. We would like to thank you for your gift intention and celebrate your generosity with you! To notify us about an estate gift you’ve made in support of the Arboretum or for more information on the Legacy Circle, please contact our Executive Director, Paige Milller (see contact info on left).
Whether your estate is large or small, you have the power to leave a legacy to the Washington Park Arboretum by making a planned gift to the Arboretum Foundation.
The simplest planned gifts are bequests and beneficiary designations. A bequest is any asset you bequeath in a will or trust. You simply name the Arboretum Foundation as a beneficiary in your will. A bequest can be a specified amount of money or other asset, a percentage of the overall estate, or the residual of the estate.
Beneficiary designations through other financial vehicles are another simple way to leave a legacy to the Arboretum Foundation. For example, you can name the Arboretum Foundation as a beneficiary in your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) or life insurance policy.
We look forward to discussing bequests, beneficiary designations, and other planned gift opportunities with you and your advisors. For more information on planned giving to support the Washington Park Arboretum, please contact our Paige Miller at 206-325-4510 or pmiller@arboretumfoundation.org.
