Fall is the best time for planting your favorite trees, shrubs, and perennials in the Pacific Northwest—so you will not want to miss our annual FallAbundance Plant Sale.
What you’ll find at the Greenhouse/Nursery:
For the sale, Plant Donations will have a great selection of one-of-a-kind trees and shrubs, nice hedging material, a fine selection of Northwest natives, and many happy and healthy perennials—all at unbeatable low prices.
The Pat Calvert Greenhouse sells an amazing selection of young trees and shrubs, many of them unusual varieties propagated from Arboretum collections. For the sale, the greenhouse will have lots of lovely hydrangeas, camellias, rhododendrons, and garrya.
Drought-tolerant varieties: The hot summer of 2015 was tough on a lot of garden plants. If you have some holes to fill in your yard or some underperforming plants you’d like to replace, then don’t miss our sale. We’ll have lots of tough, drought-tolerant plants on offer—especially at the Greenhouse—including cistus, hebes, and mahonias (including the Arboretum introduction Mahonia ‘Arthur Menzies’).
Greenhouse discount! All plants at the Pat Calvert Greenhouse will be 25% off during our sale!
This year’s sale will also feature at least three fabulous local specialty nurseries.
- Keeping It Green Nursery: Selling rare and exceptional plants, including hardy orchids and distinctive foliage plants.
- Lee Farm and Nursery: Offering a wide selection of unique and unusual plants and garden favorites.
- Madrona Nursery: Selling many Northwest native groundcovers and bulbs, as well as exotic perennials.
