Washington State Convention & Trade Center

The Northwest Flower & Garden Show returns in early February, under brand new ownership, and once again the Arboretum Foundation will kick off the show with its annual Arbor Eden Preview Gala. Enjoy a fabulous evening of delicious food, fine wines, live music, and silent auctions, and the opportunity to view the beautiful display gardens at the Flower Show the day before it opens to the public. (Read about the Arboretum's display garden, which celebrates the subtle beauties of the winter season.)
This year's gala will be a very special one for the Arboretum Foundation, as we celebrate our 75th anniversary! The Foundation has been providing vital support for Washington Park Arboretum since 1935, one year after the park was officially created. The evening will have a 1930s flavor. Guests are encouraged to come in period garb, and our musical entertainment will include a performance by Miss Rose & Her Rhythm Percolators, who wowed listeners during summer's "Old Time Picnic at the Arboretum" with jazz numbers from the swing era.

Other performers include crooner Casey MacGill, of the Blue 4 Trio, who'll play jump blues and swing tunes from the 30's and 40's. Dick Foley, of Northwest Afternoon fame, will be our announcer for the evening.

The Silent Auction
The silent auction at Arbor Eden is an important part of our fundraising effort for the Arboretum. It's also a lot of fun! We have some wonderful adventures, treasures, and experiences on offer this year, including a guided canopy crane tour at the world-famous Wind River Canopy Crane Research Facility, a private tour and luncheon at Dan Hinkley's home-garden paradise Windcliff, and a trip for two to the Philadelphia Flower Show. See an illustrated sneak preview of our auction items, or browse our full catalog.

Our Sponsors
Arbor Eden is presented by the Arboretum Foundation as benefit for Washington Park Arboretum. Thank you to our valued sponsors who make it possible for the Foundation to devote all funds from the Preview Gala to operating and educational program activities at the Arboretum.
