Japanese Garden Summer Party
A Benefit for the Seattle Japanese Garden
Every second summer, the Foundation hosts a party to raise funds for the Seattle Japanese Garden in the Washington Park Arboretum.
Our 2018 party, “Festival in the Evening Sun,” was a splendid gathering that featured:
- local wine, specially-chosen sake, Japanese beer, and a dinner menu
inspired by the food found at a traditional Japanese summer festival.
- a jazz trio serenading guests across the water, accompanied by
the smooth ripples of swimming koi fish.
- the lush greenery of the garden in summer transformed by the sunset into majestic twilight.
Event co-chairs: Bill McGee and Jeanne Peterson
